On July 22, 2025, the launch meeting for the first batch of vice presidents of science and technology assigned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs “the Third Academy” was grandly held in Beijing. Hangzhou Qiandao Lake Sturgeon Technology Co., Ltd. attended the conference as a key cooperative enterprise and officially signed a contract with the Yangtze River Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (hereinafter referred to as “Yangtze River Research Institute”. Dr. Ye Huan, an associate researcher at the Yangtze River Research Institute, moved into the company and served as deputy director of R&D. Based on in-depth research on the company’s scientific and technological needs, R&D investment and company-enterprise matching, the Changjiang Institute and the company reached a cooperation intention to select a vice president of science and technology. At the launch meeting, Han Lei, deputy general manager of Sturgeon Technology, signed the “Selection “Deputy Director of Science and Technology” Cooperation Agreement” on behalf of the company with Researcher Zhang Hui, deputy director of the Yangtze River Research Institute, and Associate Researcher Ye Huan, deputy director of the Institute of Science and Technology. In the next step, the three parties will focus deeply on the content of the cooperation agreement, rely on the first-mover advantage of Dr. Ye Huan’s team in the field of fish reproductive stem cell research, introduce a number of germplasm core technologies, promote the deep integration of industry, academia and research, help the sturgeon industry achieve technological breakthroughs, and effectively help the company solve technical problems.
“The selection of Vice President of Science and Technology” is a strategic measure taken by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs to strengthen the leading role of enterprises in innovation. The first batch of 45 vice presidents of science and technology are mainly young scientists under the age of 40, covering 44 agricultural technology companies.
